For now!
While we’re a little glum that we’re moving out of Room to Move, we’ve been busy working behind the scenes to keep as many classes open as possible. We are still seeking that long-term let but in the meantime we are collaborating with the lovely folks at The Pitt in Granton, whose amazing warehouse space is available for a couple of days per week (sadly not on weekends though).
We have also been wheeling and dealing with schools across the capital, some of whom have kindly agreed for us to use their halls to deliver classes after school times. Classes at all of our new venues are now up on the schedule and are available to book, including new indoor sessions in Portobello (at St. John’s primary school).
We continue to run outdoor classes and, with the return from Dubai of our old friend Stefano, we are looking at introducing more outdoor sessions with some different flavours. Stef, with his committed approach to outdoor, all weather training, makes the perfect addition to our team as we stumble out of summer and fall face first into not summer.
Work continues to secure Leith St. Andrew’s church. We’ll keep you updated on progress as it happens but things continue to look positive (if glacially slow!).
In the meantime, we are holding an open session to say goodbye (for now) to Room to Move. This coming Sunday 8th September from 12-5pm, we are opening the doors for everyone to come along; perhaps you’d like to meet a familiar face, nab a piece of discounted (highly coveted) Access Parkour merch, adopt a balance rail, or maybe have one last crack at the route or move you’ve been thinking about. No need to book and free for all - we'd love to see you there!
