Access Parkour offers a range of bespoke Private classes for varying requirements. All of our coaches are able to introduce you to Parkour in a confident and friendly manner, but on top of this, each has an area where they particularly excel at.

Whether you want to work on rehabilitating old injuries with Hedge or perfecting your Kong with David each of our instructors are happy to spend some time with you helping you develop your parkour skills.

John or 'Hedge' delivers most of our conditioning and movement programs, taking a special interest in creating spaces that build better people both mentally and physically. He splits his time between managing the company, teaching as much as he can and researching Parkour. 

Hedge regularly helps people pre and rehabilitate their bodies for Parkour using corrective techniques for the body and enjoys helping those who are seriously unfit find a pathway back into enjoying movement

Strengths: Movement, Conditioning, Rehabilitation.

Weakness: Big Boss man. Normally very busy.

Adam is a full time coach and occasional circus performer with a degree in Physics. He loves all sorts of physical skills and runs many of our most fun classes for children. He has an almost Peter Pan quality with children, and is one of our most popular coaches. His classes are known to be physical yet fun - applying many circus skills and games to his teaching style.

Strengths: At risk youths and children with additional support needs

Weakness: Thinks pink joggers are trendy

David is a founding member of Access Parkour and our Performance Manager. David studied Engineering at University and is carving out his own niche in Access Parkour. David is an impressive Athlete and his dedication and focus come out in his coaching style. David's Sunday U18s class is a great class for improvers and he's sought out by more advanced practitioners for ideas and advice on the more complex techniques and conditioning programs.

Strengths: Technique, Power and Strength development

Weakness: Struggles with the idea of doing 'Small' Jumps.

Luke grew up in Shetland and discovered Parkour in 2007. Since then has aspired to be a Parkour coach.

Luke has a special interest in performance and acrobatic movements. With experience as a gymnastics coach and martial arts, he is well versed in coaching flips, tricks and some of the more iconic Parkour movements. With a playful and energetic coaching style you can't help but laugh along around Luke.

Strengths: Acrobatic movements, Play, Performance

Weakness: Never learned to frown

Rory spent a long time travelling the world before finally finding a home in Edinburgh with Access Parkour. A hard working and committed member of the team he is an active member of the local jamming community.  Rory cares about the discipline of Parkour and strives to teach it in all it's glory - bringing many people deeper into the discipline.

Strengths: Classic Parkour, Conditioning, Challenge

Weakness: Likes to do filing in his spare time

Daniel is an aspiring actor and Parkour coach. Known mostly as a technical mover,  Daniel likes to lead an ethical and responsible life as a conscientious Vegan and advocate of health. Daniel's coaching style dips into his inventive interaction with the environment - his knowledge of some of the more technically challenging movements is unmatched.

Strengths: Technique, Acting, Performance

Weakness: Thinks he was doing Parkour before it was cool
